Ad Mundo Exteriore,

On filling out applications for scholarships, I had the irresistable temptation to outline, in the "Goals and Aspirations" section, a precise plan for taking over the world before I'm 30. I mean, seriously, "long-term goals"? Yes, my long-term goal in life is to create an Internet virus which will enslave the minds of all human beings in the developed world and cause them to behave like 19th century English dandies. Or, my long-term goal in life is to promote the colonization of space so that people can go live in terraformed colonies on Mars and discover an alien species that prove to us the existence of God and archangels ultimately leading us to the fulfillment of the second covenant (yes, I read C.S. Lewis' other series, the Perelandra trilogy). Or, my long-term goal is to live in a bubble at the bottom of the Mariana Trench, despite all the water pressure, and go on daily walks to the nearest park of tube worms and dandelion animals and bacterial mats that exude sulfurous fumes. (Actually, I'm not too sure about the accuracy of the sulfurous fumes part.)

From "The Angry Street":

" 'And you?' he cried terribly. 'What do you think the road thinks of you? Does the road think you are alive? Are you alive! Day after day, year after year, you have gone to Oldgate Station...' "

Again, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] durberville, who seems to be my quiz supply source:

I am Elinor Dashwood!

Take the Quiz here!

I haven't read Sense and Sensibility though...

Note: My LJ is best read in Unicode charset. I just realized this after looking over my recent entries.
