The following fic once again owes much to tryogeru, who said of Snape, "If only he were sorted differently," which got me thinking, "Well, why Slytherin?" Not exactly the fic I had set out to write, but I hope it works nonetheless? Mild spoilers for the sixth book--so mild that if you haven't read it, you probably won't even notice.
