Earlier, a friend called to ask if I wanted to go to karaoke. Of course, Mother came today, and such nocturnal adventures are impossible. What a missed opportunity! Why can't people arrange these events when I want them to happen--say, like three weeks ago? (I'm a complete karaoke addict, you know. More than a month ago,murinae mentioned that there ought to be a swords!AU of Hikaru no Go. I thought that was a brilliant idea and ran away with it. 31_days came along, and I realized there was a sequence of five themes that worked really well for Hikaru no Go. I've been planning out this fic for the past two weeks or so, but as usual, the more I plan, the more the actual writing diverges from anything I actually imagined. This is not the style I had intended, and the story itself is growing to be more elaborate than I'd expected. Er, yes. I've never written anything this long before! Well, not since high school anyway. Have mercy! (Suggestions are always welcome.) I think I'm probably going to use every wuxia and samurai story cliché in the book before the end.
