Pre-exam breakdown

As I'm sure you know by now, I have a physics final tomorrow morning, and no, I haven't studied enough. I will end up winging this exam on a combination of previous knowledge (I never thought I'd say this, but thank goodness Mr. Tomes' exams were so hard because the problems in AP Physics were much more difficult that the ones I've encountered here so far), mathematical ability (hah!--like I have any, but hopefully algebraic manipulation will save the day like it did with that Young's modulus problem last time), and sheer luck (my TF assured us that there will be problems we can omit on the final).
I can't believe my total inability to focus on studying! I spent three hours at Widener reading Sayers' Clouds of Witness (oh my gosh, Lord Peter utterly won me over yet again), and spent the rest of the day looking sadly at my physics textbook while surreptitiously checking my email every other hour. Not to mention the way I spent yesterday rejoicing over LiveJournal's resurrection by reading at least a dozen short fics and even writing another drabble (well, technically not 100 words, but technicalities) for
chain_of_fics. Bah. I am so stupid. Somehow I'll force myself to review those equations one more time and go to sleep. Maybe I can at least force myself to do some early morning studying just before the exam. At least solve a relativity problem or two. >_<
Before I wrench myself away from the computer, I discovered this amazing mp3 blog
aurgasm (also found at http://aurgasm.blogspot.com/), which has introduced me to my new musical love: Telefon Tel Aviv! Genre is ostensibly "intelligent dance music" (whatever that's supposed to mean), but I just think of it as the most mind-blowingly cool electronica I've ever heard. Download it now! (I think you'll have to go to the blogspot site and scroll down a little to get to the download links, though.) Red Lotus Radio also has an mp3 up of traditional Japanese nagauta, which sounds incredibly similar to certain forms of traditional Korean vocal music (not pansori; I forget the exact form I had in mind but I think it's called changga).
Oh no, in twelve hours, I'll have failed my physics exam. And it'll be all my fault too. ;_;
Yours &c.

Date: 2005-01-18 07:49 pm (UTC)No, we only attend collegiate tournaments. Also we're not in any shape to attend a tournament right now because the Keio team is coming in a month for spring gasshuku and we must prepare for their arrival.
I told Shirleen, the girl in charge of the Shoryuhai this year, to send you the official invite to our tournament. Did you get it? She initially tried sending it to your club mailing list, but that had restricted posting, so I said to her that sending it directly to you would be the next best thing.
