Due to popular request, the toe is now being featured in all its glory. >_> Yes, I actually took pictures, despite thoughts for the better. I don't know if I have some sort of exhibitionist streak choosing to display itself now or if I just needed an excuse to use my digital camera. It doesn't actually look so bad on photograph, but please don't click unless you 1) enjoy comparing battle injuries, 2) have a toe fetish or 3) aren't squeamish and are genuinely curious.

The bruise is on the fourth toe of my left foot.





The internal bleeding actually extended to the other side, which I found incredibly bizarre.





I know, I suck at focusing. I really should use this camera more often.

I'm going to finish off the biology reading and go to sleep!

It's actually doesn't hurt anymore...unless I try to curl my toes, of course. >_> But it definitely hurt yesterday, when it got stomped on. -_-

I don't think it's broken--I can still move it, albeit with considerable pain. And it doesn't hurt when I leave it alone, although it feels weird because it's larger than it's supposed to be and rubs against the other toes. Anyway, I hope you're satisfied.

eek! are you sure it's not fractured? does the joint hurt when you bend it... like, on the inside as opposed to... er... i don't know? *blink* poor hana! have you been icing it? i'm not sure if that would help at this point - i think after a few days, actually, bathing it in hot water for like fifteen minutes at a time a few times a day is supposed to help the healing process. 0_o

Er, I don't know what you mean by on the inside, but it definitely felt a lot better this morning, so I guess it's all right. I will try the hot water idea though. ^_^

ooohhh! that's a nice one. i'm def a fan of the battle wounds. and i think this freaks other people out, but what do they know, anyway. recommend ice, even if it doesn't hurt much. if it hurts when you move it, tape it to the toe next to it...

Thanks for the advice. ^_^;; I've never actually had injuries before kendo, so I have no idea what is serious and what isn't and what one ought to do for things other than just letting them heal. >_>;; But anyway, will try the ice.

I wouldn't worry about it being fractured or not -- I don't think there's much a doctor can do for it except tell you to stay off it and possibly tape it to your other toes, anyway.

It definitely feels a lot better this morning so I figure it wasn't that serious to begin with. Although I really don't know what a broken toe is supposed to feel like. >_>;; Anyway, thanks for the advice!
