Ways to procrastinate on writing fic:
1. Watch anime. (Namely rewatching favorite episodes of Mushishi.)
2. Catch up on manga. (Ravages of Time, of course.)
3. Catalog manga collection. (I forgot I had a complete set of Kodomo no Omocha. Does anyone want it?)
4. Reread books for the gazillionth time. (Rilla of Ingleside, through which I sobbed at any mention of Walter and Courcelette.)
6. Continue compiling Character List of Doom!

Speaking of which, for 胡赤兒, is the surname 胡 or 胡赤? (In volume 10, the guy who assassinates Niu Fu.) Or am I completely off-base and it's not a name at all? Or is it some combination of style or title or nickname or...?

Argh, I should stop procrastinating and finish writing. Except I'm at the stage when I'm starting to doubt the merit of the very premise for the fic. -_-

According to Mr. Chen's version, 胡 (Hu) is the clan's name. Though I've always wondered if the entire name was an approximation from a non-Han name. Mongolian names such as Temuejin were approximated.

So 赤兒 is the given name? It was pretty puzzling to me because it seemed like a pretty odd combination of characters. ^_^;;

Ahahaha, the writing list in no way indicates what I'll actually end up finishing. It's only a far-off, unreachable ideal from the universe where I actually have that much inspiration to spare. ^_^;;; But thanks, I'll need the luck for this Friday's blind_go deadline.
