Deluded raving
Dec. 18th, 2002 07:37 pmAd Mundo Exteriore,
I did badly on my math final, but I think I passed. Ha, got every single question concerning series wrong. Ha. I actually did really well on that unit in BC Calculus, but for some reason I couldn't remember any of it for the test. Of course, we didn't learn half these theorems in BC Calculus, which may explain it. On the other hand, I got everything with linear algebra correct. Which goes to show how one-sided my strengths are.
Argh! The Two Towers is out, and I haven't seen it. I hate the world, i.e. everyone who went this afternoon. ::glares:: And the fact that Lyd-chan and kaydee both insist that it's absolutely wonderful does not make me feel better. ::counts the hours until Friday afternoon:: Nevertheless, I suppose that going to see it with my parents would be the better option, considering that if I saw it with Lyd-chan & Co. I probably wouldn't be able to hear anything over the squeeing.
I am suffering from the worst head cold ever. And a throbbing headache which started halfway through my three and a half hour final and still has not gone away. Pity me! (Of course, the fact that I don't have any college applications to worry about will cause some people to retort that I don't deserve any pity. Oh well.)
I started reading Lovely Bones just to see what all the fuss was about, and it was more than worth it. Wow. Excellently, excellently written, for nothing is overdone or cliched at all, and the writer is both completely original and moving at the same time. I was crying on the subway while I was reading the first few chapters, and it wasn't even because of some soppy melodramatic moments. Please read it, everyone. It's not a book to obsess about, but you won't regret it.
