Ad Mundo Exteriore,

Oh, I forgot to mention: When I saw the Two Towers on Saturday, the first matinee show was completely sold out by 11:30, so I had to go to the one at 4:00. We arrived forty minutes before the show was supposed to start, but we still had to stand in a huge line for ten minutes before our tickets were accepted. Then we had to stand in another huge line for about five minutes before we were allowed to take our seats. The whole place was full in less than two minutes, and at the end of the movie, the entire theater applauded. Nice, neh? If it doesn't win the Golden Globe or the Oscar for Best Picture, I am going to explode.

Of course, knowing the silly movie awards, they'll just give the special effects stuff and save the meaningful awards for more "realistic" films. -_- Argh! Fantasy does not mean trivial! Sheesh!

TTT doesn't deserve Best Picture, nor will it win. I have high hopes for RotK, but TTT will probably do worse in the Oscars than FotR. Trust me on this one. And, unlike last year, the loss will be fair.

Not having seen Gangs of New York, I am in no position to argue with you.

Personally I don't care if Gangs of New York wins Best Picture, because I think it looks like a really cool movie, but I still feel annoyed by last year's "let's give it to the more 'profound' film because LotR is just fantasy" sentiment. And the stupid reviewers.

Nonono, LAST year's Oscar was criminal. I heartily object to what happened last year. Just, not this year...
