Ad Mundo Exteriore,
I'm having trouble installing programs on this stupid Mac! Especially when the programs are for a UNIX platform! I think I'll come back on Friday and meekly ask the professor to help me figure it out. Right now, I'm going to go home and code HTML to relieve all this extra stress.
This is obviously going to be a really short entry.
After reading the manga translations for Kodocha, I'm feeling terribly depressed. Why do all the cheerful, funny anime shows have manga series which turn horribly angsty? I swear, my whole relationship-phobia has tripled after getting into anime. Whether it's the original story itself or the fanfiction written afterwads, there's no single normal relationship in the anime universe. Sheesh. Everyone ends up going through strange bouts of depression and suicidal thoughts, even if they're cheerful, happy eighth graders who shouldn't be that psychologically burdened to begin with. I want to read something funny! Down with angst!
Okay, I don't really mean that, but I wish these authors would let up once in a while. You start off a story as funny and lighthearted, getting the reader/watcher/audience all wrapped up in nostalgia, and then! You make the characters fall apart because they have a rocky relationship. Sheesh. And it's not like a normal rocky relationship either! The boy gets partly paralyzed, the girl gets self-induced amnesia...How positively awful!
I'm rambling. Urgh. I should go home now. Kodocha's still a very funny manga/anime, by the way, and I still want to watch the rest of the 102 episodes, but I needed to rant at someone for a while. Too bad you all had to be the victims.
