Ad Mundo Exteriore,

Guess who did absolutely nothing yesterday (other than spend four hours on a symposium proposal)?

I'm in this pendulum state, swinging between intermediate panic (not mild or severe, just intermediate) and fatalist indifference. Well, probably better than the unrealistic optimism of before--"oh, things will work out somehow, if I just sit here doing nothing"--and definitely better than being stressed to the point of another burnout.

Oh, and I forgot to mention another pet grammar peeve:

principal vs. principle: "principal" can be a noun meaning an important person, as in "a school principal", or an adjective meaning main or primary, as in "the principal reason". "principle" is used as a noun meaning some important ideal or conceptual basis, such as "a moral principle". You can turn it into an adjective by adding a -d ending, that is, "a principled person".

Although it's understandable if you make the mistake occasionally, the rate at which some writers on FF.net continually confuse the two is extremely annoying. Fingers down the chalkboard annoying.

I had something I wanted to rant about, but I forgot. Oh well. There's always a next time.
