Brown paper packages tied up with string

My new kote and men came today! I'm so thrilled...the kote are so nice, and the deerhide palm coverings are still soft. *_* In the club set I've been using, the palms of my kote are stiff and full of holes. Plus, the new men actually fits! Actually, it's a bit too snug (I have to ram my head inside in order for my forehead to reach the padding), but I read that it does expand as you wear it, so it's actually better for the fit to start off too tight. Anyway, I found a useful page that shows you how to tie it up so that you can set its shape. Heh, I should probably practice putting it on so I can get used to the fit.
Anyway, Kendoshop is definitely turning out to be my favorite equipment supplier, and no, not just because they're Korean. (1) Their prices are cheaper than most of the American online suppliers, even if you factor in shipping, which is admittedly on the high side. (2) Their customer service is super-nice, although I suppose I only think that because I can write in Korean and don't have to deal with their, uh, not-so-superb English skills. (3) They use an insanely fast shipping service (e.g. I placed this order on late Sunday night, had my payment verified by Tuesday morning, and received the package today). (4) They throw in freebies! (I got a batch of keychains, not to mention a free tenegui and an eye protector shield, with my order. 덤으로도 받아야지 맛이나지~ 안 그래? ^_^)
Oh yes, second final down, one left to go. But clearly that isn't as important as the fact that I have new bogu (or at least a "half-set" anyway), and it's pretty and shiny. ^_^ I'll probably order the dou and tare at the end of the year to complete the set. Note to self: please take especially good care of this new set so you can get several years' good use out of it.
