I am finally, finally back in New York. As ladydaera can attest from my long rambling emails to her on the subject, for the first time in two years, I've missed this city with a sort of anxious, mind-eating homesickness, and boy, am I glad to be back. Cambridge is lovely and charming beyond words, but it doesn't feel like a real city, I must admit.

I bought Thomas Merton's meditations on Chuang Tzu yesterday for only $5.99 (the cover price was something like $16.99, so 'twas an irresistable deal). If only I'd found it before I started this fic. Speaking of which...

After much wrestling with the outline, I've concluded that I'm going to attempt to end "Balance" on a dramatic note tomorrow, but there will be a second fic to cover the rest of the plot. I probably won't start the sequel until September, and I doubt I'll be able to do pull off this "one chapter a day" stunt I've somehow managed (mostly by sheer panic and last-minute improvisation -_-), but never fear, the sequel will be written. And with sufficient luck or obstinacy, it'll be finished before I start school again...

Thought I should post this meme before I forgot tomorrow. Parents have oh-so-obligingly borrowed all nine tapes of My Name is Kim Samsoon for me (whee!), and they've been watching all the middle episodes I caught in Korea, while I wrote the latest part to "Balance" (for five hours straight). >_>
