A list of mishmash

1. Granado Espada pre-open beta! Self, please do not install client until after your final on Saturday.
2.
team7 is starting an online magazine for themed literary reviews: Maybe Sparrow (LiveJournal community at
maybesparrows). Issue 1 is "Metafiction" with a rather spectacular reading list (sign up here), and issue 2 is "Diana Wynne Jones" (sign up here).
3. Tin also asked for photos of our workspaces, which reminded me of that neat meme that
ambientlight did a while ago.
Take a photo of your desk, as-is (no cleaning up/prettying allowed! The idea is to see what it really looks like), and post it twice on your LJ, the second version annotated.

My desk is usually not so disorganized, but I thought I should take a photo of it in a more chaotic stage since it shows more personality than its usual bare surface mode.
I like looking at photos of people's bookshelves myself. One of my favorite Peter Wimsey moments is when he looks at Cathcart's bookshelf as a reflection of the man's character. (Although do let me add that the only reason Margaret Drabble's The Red Queen is sitting on the top shelf is because I found the book at a sale and thought it would be interesting. Alas, it drove me up the wall by the tenth page. -_-)
4. Pidgin (the new name for Gaim) is awesome and just may revolutionize my IM habits. I was afraid at first that it didn't have CJK support, but actually, all you have to do is change the GTK+ theme to anything other than the default Windows setting.
5. Please shake me out of my complacence, and tell me to study for my finals. Or alternatively, finish my
imaginarybeasts story. ::pulls at hair::
Yours &c.
