Now that 24 hours are up, I can finally reveal that in fact the last post was a dare issued to me by silvermuse89 in the Truth or Dare game going on in her journal: I dare you to make a post (unfiltered and un-backdated) giving a plausible reason for abandoning Hikago fandom. You must reply to all comments and can't reveal the hoax until 24 hours are up.

So yes, that last post was fake. I gave the only really plausible reason that I could think of for abandoning the fandom and felt rather horrible for being more convincing than I expected. Thank you though for all your sweet comments! Replying to each of them while trying not to reveal the hoax was possibly one of the most difficult things I've ever done, and I'm so sorry I had to lie to all of you. ;_;

For the record, I am thinking of reducing my other fandom-related commitments once I start grad school, but I wouldn't leave blind_go or Hikago fandom unless I really had no other choice. I entered Hikago fandom as a lurker almost as soon as I got this LJ, and it will take something pretty drastic to convince me to leave it.

It really touched me though to know so many of you cared. Sorry again for the deception! ::bows in apology::

Made even more hilarious by the fact that I was all, 'omg if Tari is all BUCKLING DOWN on RL academic-type things, what does that say about me?? am I going to have to slowly wean myself off of fandom???
