Irrelevance

I just realized--I really, really like this layout. ::grins:: An absurd thing to write an entry about, but I was looking over my LJ and realized that the layout was really nice. I'm pleased about the color scheme, pleased about the arrangement, and even pleased about the font. I wanted it to be smaller at first, but now I like it.
BLAST still hasn't finished. ::sighs:: This is taking absolutely forever. I read all the new Karekano, Fruits Basket and even Kodocha fics at Fanfiction.net, and the blasted thing is still running. Oy vey. You know, I've been over-using that expression. On the other hand, nothing really expresses the resignation and disgust one feels at the stupidity of the world as succintly and completely as "oy vey." I've also been saying "urgh" a lot. I have no idea why, but "urgh" seems to adequately convey the "urghness" of my dead-bored mental state.
Yes, I'm babbling. I'm bored and babbling in my LJ because I have nothing better to do. Told you to watch out, right?
I know how to say "My name is Tari" in German now. Meine Name ist Tari. Never mind that it isn't really Tari. We'll just ignore those trifling little details, yes we will. ::sighs:: Still bored. I wish there was a text input plug-in for Egyptian hieroglyphics. I was looking through an old notebook and found a section where I had meticulously drawn all the Egyptian hieroglyphics, the sounds that they stood for and the animal/object they were meant to represent. Reminded of this because I visited the Egyptian wing of the Met last Friday with the Lighthouse kids and saw a thousand different sarcophagi covered with hieroglyphics. ^_^ Well, anyway, I was thinking, if there was some sort of plugin that allowed you to display websites in hieroglyphics, then I'd be able to type out weird poems in pretty pictures of vultures, owls, water, and folded cloths. Oh and don't forget the cow's belly with teats. Yes, hieroglyphics are alphabetic. They stand for phonemes not syllables or ideas. That's why they're not called ideographs like the Chinese characters are. You'd be able to write out an English sentence in hieroglyphics.
Imagining my name in a cartouche...although oniichan would kill me, because she after all is supposed to be the soon-to-be/current/dead Hegemon, depending on your chronological point of view.
I have a feeling that I've lost absolutely everyone and anyone who might be reading this LJ. If I have, sorry! My mind tends to jump more when I'm bored. It's extremely "jumpy" right now. Or rather, I'm staring at the blank white of this terminal and internally cursing because I've returned to the same state of boredom and must find some way out, no matter how ridiculous. I wonder if boredom is the true "desert" of the absurd that Camus was talking about? Probably not; not enough passionate desperation and anguish in boredom. Boredom is just indifferent. Urgh.
