Stanley Hall on the Feast of St. Bernard of Clairvaux

Three more successful knockouts STOP Two for one gene, one for another STOP Total of four strains STOP Need twenty-one STOP Let's not even talk about transforming my reporter construct STOP So behind on project STOP Months and months behind STOP I hate molecular biology STOP

I used to be in the habit of invoking the minor demi-deity of academia. Habit revived: if I can at least get this cDNA library construction to work properly--to make up for all my other failures--I will offer up sacrifices of the hapless undergraduates whom I'll start teaching in a few weeks.

I still love my project but I suspect it doesn't love me back. T_T

Yours &c.

Heh, I suppose it does read as funny. At the moment, I have no sense of perspective. T_T

cloning sucks. no two was about it. waiting on sequence results to explain h ow my 800 bp sequence turned into 1200 bp. and don't get me started on the rest of my projects.

I've been so unmotivated this week, I've done like one thing/day. >.> MUST GET BUTT INTO SHAPE TODAY ARGH...

Yes, molecular biology can be a huge pain in the rear.

Wahh~ My work didn't like me today either~~

Though lol for a second there because I was trying to figure out what a kind of a "STOP-Two-for-One" and a "one-for-another-STOP-Total" gene was. I was like, "ok, it's OK to name them after hedgehogs and mythical Celtic places, but the craziness that is gene naming has gone too far.

My brain has been broken since noon. Thank you and Goodnight.
