1. Who is your favourite character(s)?
Um, absolute favorite characters are Feanor and Varda Elentari from the Silmarillion. From LotR, Elrond, Glorfindel and Legolas. Despite the short cameos of the former two.


2. What is your favourite LOTR quote?
Sorry, despite having read it five times, I can't actually remember any quotes. But favorite poems/songs: the "all that is gold does not glitter," "elbereth a gilthoniel" and "the road goes ever, ever on." Favorite moments: "Aie, a Balrog!," Galadriel's rejection of the ring and the head-counting scene.

3. How long have you been waiting for a live action LOTR movie?
I first heard it was coming out in FIFTH GRADE. That means I waited six years for this movie. SIX years of speculating about producers, directors, scripts and casting! And they have the nerve to tell me I have to wait another year for the second part!

4. When did you first read LOTR and how many times since then?
Again, fifth grade and about four or five times. Same for the Silmarillion. ^_^

6. When will you see The Two Towers?
::sighs:: I never get to see on opening day. But definitely within a week of its release.

8. Who is your favourite villian?
Ditto kaydeefalls. "My love...my only...my precioussssss..."

9. Which character are you most like?
Um...I want to be like Elrond or Gandalf. I don't know if I actually am.

10. Mirkwood, Lothlorien, Rivendell, The Shire, Mordor, Gondor or the Misty Mountains. Where would you most like to live?
Rivendell or Lothlorien. Mirkwood is a tad too creepy with the giant spiders, even if Sauron left and Legolas lives there.

Who would want to live in Mordor? I was so depressed in those parts of the book.

12. Favorite Hobbit?
Um...Merry or Pippin? Merry or Pippin? In the movie, I liked Merry, but when I read the book, I liked Pippin best.

13. Favorite Elf?
Feanor from the Silmarillion. Elrond, Galadriel and of course His Highness, the prince of Mirkwood. Hey, you can't expect me to choose!

14. Favorite Dwarf?
Balin, because he was nice to Bilbo.

16. Favourite Wizard?
Gandalf of course. Who else?

17. Favourite Orc?
Don't like Orcs.

18. Part in the books that made you cry?
When they leave for the Grey Havens. When they're journeying through Mordor.

19. Part in the movie that made you cry?
I didn't actually cry during the movie, although I was very, very scared during certain parts.

20. If you had lots of money, a good life, family, friends and were happy, would you give it all up to live in Middle Earth?
No...It'll be lovely to visit, but I'm too attached to the mundane conveniences of this life. Like toliets and refrigerators.

21. If you were given a one night stand with ONE character who would you go with?
I don't really obsess over LOTR like that. I want to be an elf, not sleep with one. Although being an elf probably would one day involve sleeping with one.

22. Was the movie what you hoped?
Well, up until the trailers, I was expecting to hate it. After the trailer, I thought, "This is going to be such a cool movie!" and I was right. ::smug::

23. What do you think they should have changed?
How could they cut out Glorfindel? And why'd they leave out the gift-giving scene at Lothlorien, when they filmed it and everything?! And Legolas' line, "Aie, a Balrog!" I was waiting for that, and it never came. Oh and the Galadriel scene still annoys me a little.

24. Who is your favorite actor(s) out of the Fellowship?
Orlando Bloom! The hobbits! Actually all of them except Liv Tyler.

25. After seeing the movie, which weapon would you most like to learn?
Bow and arrow. Of course.

26. (if you're a girl) which LOTR woman would you want to be?
Galadriel

27. (if you're a guy, girls can answer this as well) Which LOTR man (actually male) character would you want to be?
Legolas. Or Elrond. I think I could have been a prettier Elrond than Hugo Weaving. Not that Hugo Weaving was bad, but he didn't exactly look beautiful.

28. Thing you are most looking forward to in TTT?
Ents! Ents, ents, ents, ents, ents! And Gollum, and the headcounting scene, and Merry and Pippin at the high courts of Theoden and Denethor, respectively! (I would look forward to the Shelob scene if it was there.)

29. How did you get into LOTR?
I saw a classmate reading The Hobbit in fourth grade. He was the kind of kid who read the Hardy Boys, so I didn't think much of it at the time. But The Hobbit was on all those recommended lists and Narnia kept getting compared to LOTR, so I read the entire series during fifth grade. ^_^ Then I got on the AOL message boards and stayed for about two or three years...then the movie cast came out...I mean, what do you expect? My name is derived from the appendices of the Silmarillion.

30. How did you hear of the LOTR books, or who gave them to you?
Hm...see above.

31. Has LOTR (books/movie) changed or helped your life in anyway?
Well, it established my penchant for fantasy books. It's also one of my favorite books of all time. I used to constantly look up Quenya roots for Sindarin words and still cherish hopes of one day learning it all. I bought the entire Burger Kings toy set by traveling to nearly every BK in NYC...
