Ad Mundo Exteriore,

Eh, back to waiting for PSI-BLAST to finish. I've just spent the last hour reading all the multiparter Subaru x Kamui fics that I can find on the Net. Subaru-kun no kawaii ne! BTW, does anyone know the definition of vicissitudes? Lyd-chan? ::hopeful:: I looked it up once but I forgot.

Currently listening to the LotR OST. Unfortunately, it's getting just a tad tiresome, because I'm at the point when I can sing the next measure. I've listened to this way too many times. ::sighs:: I need the Two Towers soundtrack. Or at least the thirty minutes that Howard Shore composed just for the special edition DVD.

Tomorrow, my family and I are going off on college visits at Cambridge. The day after that, we're driving up to Montreal and sleeping one night there. We plan to take Mass at the St. Joseph's Oratory on Sunday. Apparently the Oratory is world-famous, especially for its staircase which stretches up nearly a mile. There's a bus that actually takes you up to the top. Weird, eh? I don't know how accurate that is, since I'm translating from the snatches of Korean I heard from my parents, but I got the impression that the staircase is very long and that pilgrims climb up on their knees as penance. That must be worse than performing the full obeisance every step of the way to Lhasa. On second thought, scratch that. At least Montreal won't be freezing cold all seasons of the year.

We're planning to stroll through the Quartier Latin and eat a light lunch at an outdoor cafe, relaxing afterwards with a cup of tea. Sounds so idyllic, neh? It's probably going to be more like: Mother yells at Father because he can't find the Quartier Latin and Father sulks as he pores over the map, and the cafes will all be crowded and we'll leave half the food on our plates because nothing is really quite the same as a bowl of rice with kimchee on the side.

Reminder to self: Must get results of second tuberculin booster shot checked today. Do not forget.

I feel languid and dull. It's cold here in this lab.

vicissitudes: trials, travails, ups and downs, stuff that happens, "the vicissitudes of life." I think. Erm. You might want to look that one up.

Thanks. I thought it was something along those lines.

Write an LJ entry. A long one. I'm bored and need something to respond to.
