Procrastination
May. 10th, 2003 11:38 amAd Mundo Exteriore,
Put Tari in front of her AP Physics texts and review books, and what do you get? Hours of staring into space. Anything to avoid studying for this wretched exam. But I promised Mother to work hard for a 5 as a Mother's Day present, so I'm feeling even more guilty about procrastinating. I should have been sensible and dropped this AP. I'd get $60 back, and I could concentrate on my math final instead.
I don't understand magnetic induction, and I highly doubt my ability to remember the equations for the charging of a capacitor. This does not look good.
In other news, I finished a Hikaru no Go wallpaper, which is up on Angelette-oniichan's site and available for download here. I should probably put it up on AO as well, but the thought of uploading a 300-something KB file is somewhat intimidating. You may ask, when did I find the time to finish a wallpaper when I have two AP exams and a math final coming up in two days? Why, yesterday afternoon, instead of doing those pesky chemistry problem sets. I'm beginning to fear for my study habits in college.
L.P., since you seem to read my LJ semi-regularly, take a look at this story, if you have any spare time. It's a novel-in-progress by
pornkings. I don't know whether it's your type of thing or not, but hopefully it'll prove to you that there is good writing online, even by your standards. ^_^
Oh, and since everyone seems to be talking about prom, I'll give into peer pressure and put in my two cents (even if you've heard them already): who cares? I've stopped looking forward to prom a long time ago, and right now, all that is really worth discussing is whether the food is going to be good and whether I can learn enough Go to play
tryogeru on a 19x19 board by June 12. The prom table fiasco has reminded me exactly why I loathe and despise parties, formal, semiformal or casual. ::sticks tongue out at American high school tradition:: Why can't we have an interesting convention, like taking a road trip in Europe or something like that?
Wow...I've managed to babble about nothing for three-quarters of a page. All right, back to studying.

Date: 2003-05-10 09:28 pm (UTC)Can you imagine billions of estupidos americanos, teenagers, no less, running amok all over Europe at the same time? Actually, what's funny is that summer would be when the natives all flee the usual tourist places.

Date: 2003-05-11 04:25 am (UTC)And, yes, I can imagine billions of American Teenagers running across Europe. That's why my Dubliner accent is so good; I can now travel throughout Europe and nobody'll know that I'm American. (Wheee, idiot plans!)

Date: 2003-05-13 11:35 am (UTC)I think billions of American teenagers in Europe may be frightening but it may be good for American teenagerdom in general. (Yay, making up words!) So there, L.D.
