Ad Mundo Exteriore,

::sigh of relief:: I found out that I didn't get into any of my freshman seminars at 11:45, just before biology. I ought to have been somewhat disappointed by that, but actually I feel that I can move on with my life, now the suspense is over. Yes, I'm a control freak. I wanted to have my schedule planned out regardless of shopping week, and not knowing about the seminar really messed up my sense of organization.

Initially I was afraid that there wouldn't be any core classes that would fit into my schedule, but there's a Literature and Arts C course on Roman classics that has high CUE guide reviews and looks exactly like the type of course I've been looking for. The readings and workload are on the tough side, but apparently the lecturer is amazing. (Which is all that's necessary, really, considering how easy my other classes are.) I'm going to sit in on it tomorrow, and if it works out, I'm not going to bother with waiting lists and just enroll. I just hope the books aren't sold out...>_<

By the way, please tell me to ignore my guilty conscience next time. It was yet another introductory lecture in biology today, and we didn't cover any of the material from the reading. (Why put it as an assignment on the syllabus then?!) During the last ten minutes, the lecturer finally got to some noteworthy material...and let us out late in the process. Argh. He's supposed to be the Head Tutor in the biology concentration, but he really needs to take Ms. Marsh's public speaking class. I've never heard a teacher say "uh" so many times before. Still, I rather like the textbook, which may not have particularly eloquent writing but does present information very efficiently. (And since the professor wrote this book, I'm sure he can't be all that bad, right?)
