tryogeru just posted an entry about this "behavioral modification centre" for troubled teens in her journal. She wants to raise awareness about the issue, and I'm certainly in agreement with her. So I'm trying to help her, in my small way, let people know about it.
Tranquility Bay is supposed to be like a juvenile detention camp except it's a private operation, and the children are sent there by their parents. It's a horrible exercise in brainwashing, and some of the descriptions in the Guardian article sound like they were taken straight out of 1984.

Please, if you have any connections to newspapers or other media sources, try to raise publicity about the issue. I've heard of other camps with similar goals, but this one is possibly the most frightening. It's really an outrage that places like this are legal. I've already emailed L.P. about it, since she worked at the New York Times over the summer.
