My biology professor, while discussing the "sensor system" that a lamda phage uses to detect when the host cell is in danger and to switch into lytic mode (i.e. abandon ship and evacuate, killing the poor bacterium in the process), said, "So when the cell lacks nutrients or is 'ultraviolated', the lambda phage detects it and starts to replicate."

Get the pun? It sounded better when he made up the word on the spur of the moment, but I think it's still funny. "Ultraviolated". ^_^

I've been easing myself back into skinning. The Spiral skin is turning out to be extremely complicated, which is not a good sign when you consider that it's also going to be my first 2.91 compatible skin. >_< Does anyone want to see a work-in-progress screencap or are they too indifferent to care?

My magnetic go set arrived yesterday! It's really cute, especially the impossibly small stones that click convincingly on the board. Plus it only cost $20 because I ordered the cheap Korean set through Yutopian. ^_^ tryogeru, if you visit again, remember to play a game with me.

Speaking of go, I've...uh...gone insane and decided to join the Hikaru no Go RPG at hand_of_god. I'm role-playing hong_suyeong (thanks for the LJ code, Eve!). Yes, I know, I'm nuts. Still, Suyeong isn't a major part, so it shouldn't be too impossible. Someone really should take Ko Yeongha...I want another Korean go player to interact with.

I am also considering a Spiral skin, also with Eyes (hm... I remember seeing your first base preview on Angelette, wasn't it Eyes?), but a different image (I hope). Your new skins are so nice ^_^

I know I'm a slacker but most of my skins are not 2.91 enabled. Some of them, when I'm in the mood but basically no one I know uses the new tools (well, everyone but me because I *love* the 'Winamp Library', it's just so handy!).

Yes, I've basically returned to working on that base on angelette.com, after refusing to look at it for a while. Glad you liked the latest skins--hopefully this one will be worth looking at too. (And you should definitely do a Spiral skin! ^_^)

I want to be a slacker and avoid 2.91 enabling, but Angelette also loves the Winamp Library (and to tell the truth, I do too) and she insists that I start skinning the Library from now on. >_>

And hey, I'm not the person spending money to cosplay Sai. Not that there's anything wrong with cosplaying Sai but aren't you setting a double standard here? What's the difference between pretending to be a character online and pretending to be a character in real life? ^_^

I'd say touche, but...roleplaying...that's different from cosplaying because I'm not pretending to be Sai, I'm just dressing up for a convention...but as for...nyaH~!
