My dorm got dressed up in costumes (well, most of us, anyway) and went trick-or-treating on all the floors. Then we had a Halloween party in the common room. There, I've been to my first college party. Of course, all supervised, no alcohol, and plenty of wholesome junk food like caramel and candy apples (we stole the apples from Annenberg), tortilla chips and salsa, candy corn, chocolate, pumpkin and apple pie, Halloween cookies and Munchkins...The food was great, but the party eventually devolved into dancing, or rather an attempt at dancing with bad music and a strobe light. The strobe gave me such a headache...
I would write this entry in Korean, but I'm too lazy to look up the words I don't know.
So...guess what I dressed up as? I was the Phantom of the Opera! I bought a cheap black vinyl cape and white "theater gloves" from CVS, and a plastic white half-mask that was exactly like the Phantom's. I turned up the collar of my white blouse to look like a tuxedo shirt, put on my nice dress pants, and got out my gold silk vest (the one that was originally for HUNS), and lo and behold, I was in evening wear. And of course, with my flat chest, all I needed was to slick back my hair into a ponytail to pass for a boy. ^_^ It looked more natural than I thought it would. The white gloves were very cool, but the cape was kind of annoying. I also had to put glasses on over my mask, which made me kind of dizzy since they weren't sitting on my nose properly. I didn't expect the costume to come out so well. It was such a cheap thing, all under $5 (other than the clothes already in my wardrobe, that is). I'd put up a picture, but I don't have a digital camera. >_>
The caramel apples were delicious. My teeth are going to rot, I just know it.
Anyway, I feel guilty about missing kendo practice, but there's always tomorrow for that. I'm going to do some homework and go to sleep. ^_^
