Ad Mundo Exteriore,

I was going to turn off my computer and practice tsumego and math at the same time, but I realized I forgot what chapters I was supposed to review for math, so I decided to update my journal while looking at the course website. Aren't I such a good multitasker? Actually, I'm terrible at doing more than two things at once, but I thought maybe I could alternate between puzzling over the tsumego book and doing math problems.

Tomorrow afternoon, I have to write up the next HGDRP module. I really hate that project. It's almost as bad as the paper we had to write on psychological disorders for health in tenth grade. (Although nothing can be quite as bad as that.)

Anyway, I've realized that I'll have a lot less homework this weekend, due to the lack of sections during Thanksgiving week, so I'm going to start writing that GN article as soon as possible. ^_^ I ended up researching the weakening of the LDP and the potential for political reform in Japan. Very interesting topic, but a little too much information to process...I'm going to find something more obscure next time.

In other news, I got to write Metamorphoses fanfic for my Rome of Augustus class! We had to write a "diary entry" from the perspective of one of the mythological characters. Mine's actually a Metamorphoses/Aeneid/Iliad crossover, because I chose Hecuba, the mother of Hector and Paris, for my character. (Hekabe, if you go by the Greek name.) It's...a bit disjointed because I wasn't too careful with my language and not as subtle as I would like it to be, but I enjoyed writing it. Mostly because Hecuba is very tragic, and I liked describing all the dead bodies. (I looked up so many death scenes! Thank goodness for Perseus--not the mythological character, but the online academic database full of classical texts--and the Oxford Classical Dictionary.) I'll post it up as soon as the official due date is past.
