Back to school once more
Feb. 2nd, 2004 08:36 pmAd Mundo Exteriore,
I have returned, much refreshed, from an extended weekend in the Caput Mundi, armed with three more Hikaru no Go manga (courtesy of oniichan), lots and lots of food (courtesy of parents), and a somewhat refreshed mind (courtesy of daytime naps). In these past four days, I have: (1) eaten seolreongtang at Gam Mee Ok (the restaurant to go to if you want proper seolreongtang), (2) eaten jjajangmyeon at Sam Won Gak (the green noodles were awful and we should have gone to Jang Won Ru instead), (3) eaten sundubu at Bit Go Eul (another really good specialty restaurant), (4) had ice cream at Flushing Mall on a freezing cold day (all oniichan's idea), (5) tried a pomegranate for the first time (rather delicious!), (6) drank some of the best persimmon-ginger-cinnamon tea my mother ever brewed (I forget its Korean name). Yes, my trips back home are all measured gastronomically. Mm, the microfridge is stocked with fruit right now, and it smells delightful. ^_^
I'm in love with Hikaru no Go all over again, which is good timing if I want to finish that wall by Wednesday.
I'm sure I had more meaningful things to say, but they escape me for the moment. Will write more after I eat dinner (rice and soup!) and finish catching up on anime watching. ^_^

Re: About something else entirely
Date: 2004-02-04 05:35 pm (UTC)For you to enter the MAC, you have to pay $10 (since you are a guest, not a Harvard-affiliated person). I'll cover the fee this week, since it's your first visit, but we're going to have to figure out what to do on subsequent Saturdays. (Maybe we can split the fee?) I'm pretty sure there's a cheaper way, but I haven't figured it out yet.
