Of midterms and quizzes

Am pretty certain that I've failed my first chemistry midterm this morning. Oh, I can hear you all saying, "Surely you exaggerate, Tari! Methinks I remember you saying the same about biology last semester! You underestimate yourself!" But I assure you, I went into the test having studied for about six hours (not counting four hours of review sessions), without really understanding the material of the last lecture on alkenes (it was crucial, and I slept through its entirety, thanks to Gasshuku). I also had a failing score on the last problem set I handed in and hadn't done about half the textbook reading. The exam was supposed to be difficult for people who had been following the material, and I didn't even manage to do that.
Of course, I walked into the exam, knowing that I was going to fail, so I wasn't shocked to realize that I wasn't sure of half my answers, but that only takes the edge off my depression. My only hope right now is to spend the weekend catching up in chemistry so I'll stay on course for the rest of the semester. I'm really hoping that I can drop this midterm and do well enough on the final to make up for it.
The Gasshuku did swallow up all my time for the past week, but I have to admit that I could have done a better job managing my time more efficiently. Also, if I spent less time sleeping yesterday, I probably could have studied more. Well, at least I'm awake and functioning now. Will try my best to avoid thinking about this morning's travesty and focus on catching up on work instead. Well, at least there's no kendo practice today, which wins me about five more hours of potential productiveness.

Your weasel is the Long Tailed Weasel. The weasel's weasel. Quick, small, with bitey teeth and cunning thoughts.
Good news: You're the weasel people think of when they say weasel. Plus, you're two weasels in one, as the winter coat of white makes people call you an ermine as well.
Bad news: People still think you kill chickens and are a rat. You kill RATS and are a... wait, no, that's not right...

Marcie is my favorite character, after Charlie Brown himself, of course.

I find this result very disturbing...(By the way, I don't really much like Lord Voldemort at all, in or out of his Tom Riddle form. He's so...juvenile. I mean, making up a name like "Voldemort"? Well, then again, I made up something like "Tari Gwaemir" so I suppose I should just keep quiet.)
Check out my Morality! 56% liberal, 44% conservative
Well, apparently I'm pretty politically liberal (77%), but I'm socially conservative. Which is both true and untrue, I guess. I'm a Confucian traditionalist, which doesn't really fit into the modern schema of social conservatism, but it does make me have a very different worldview and rationale for my values and beliefs. In any case, I despise Republican policy (I believe in centralization and a certain degree of government responsibility), and since I think that personal morals have no real place in politics, I still vote liberal. Actually, I don't like the Democrats much either, since I firmly support free trade and globalization, while a lot of traditional Democrats keep pandering to union interests. I suppose the real problem is that I've learned to think of American politics in terms of its influence on Korea, thanks to my parents, and despite gaining my citizenship, I haven't really changed that attitude. I don't vote for the government that will protect American interests, but for the government that will support Korean interests. In short, more international trade, multilateralism, diplomatic negotiations as opposed to military action. I'm sure people will tell me that I should just go move back to Korea, but I must retort that I can't help the biases of my environment, and at least I don't become hypocritical by refusing to acknowledge them.
Never fear, oniichan, I'll make an icon set before the day is done. Just don't expect anything more substantial than that.
